November 10th, 2020 - Tianguis Turístico Mexico is the main tourism event in Mexico and Latin America and the government agencies involved are working to ensure the right conditions for business to be conducted in a face-to-face format. The new dates were confirmed after assessing the calendar of international trade events to ensure greater attendance by avoiding conflict with other global tourism events such as Fitur in Madrid and ITB in Berlin, both of which will take place in digital format in the first half of 2021,
"We are confident that this change will benefit the Mexican tourism industry, as it will allow to have the necessary conditions to host a successful face-to-face Tianguis Turístico México in Mérida,"
Mexico’s Minister of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués, and the Governor of Yucatán, Mauricio Vila Dosal.
The government of the state of Yucatán through the Minister of Tourism, Michelle Fridman, will continue to work in coordination with Mexico’s Minister of Tourism and with the private sector so the 2021 edition is the watershed for a resilient and innovative Tianguis Turístico Mexico.
